Loensia fasciata	<<Back Species account
	A moderately large (4.5-5.5mm) barkfly with strongly marked wings. Widespread in Britain.
	Forewings with dark bands and small spots on a colourless background. The main bands form a crude ‘IU’ shape.
	Female Subgenital plate (underside of apex of abdomen) has two large oval side lobes. Compare with similar species
	Male Hypandrium (end of abdomen) with long appendage on the left hand side. Compare with similar species
