Summary: found on branches and trunks of a range of deciduous and coniferous trees.

Associations:

  • Deciduous branches: apple, aspen, beech, hawthorn, hazel, oak and sweet chestnut.
  • Tree trunks: alder, ash, beech, oak and sycamore.
  • Conifer/evergreen branches: cedar, larch, pine and yew.
  • Other microhabitats: larch leaf litter.

Sampling techniques: beating branches, brushing tree trunks, litter sieving, malaise trap and water trap.
