Amphigerontia contaminata A moderately large (c.4.5mm) barkfly. Uncommon in Britain and Ireland.
Amphigerontia contaminata Forewing mainly colourless with an indistinct dark spot above the areola postica cell (near b in the photograph). If the radius vein near the spot is extended it is almost continuous with vein c.

The upper extension of the subgenital plate is long (cf. A. bifasciata).
