Assocations:
- Deciduous branches: apple, birch, elder, hawthorn, hazel, oak and sea buckthorn.
- Deciduous trunks: beech and oak
- Conifer/evergreen branches: broom, Chinese juniper, juniper, larch, pine and yew.
- Other microhabitats: bell heather, purple moor-grass and swept beneath hazel.
