No photo of live animal A small (c.1.5-2.5mm) barkfly. A single outdoor record from Scotland.
Lachesilla quercus As with all Lachesilla species the forewing is completely hairless. Unlike L. pedicularia the wings do not have any characteristic features and the abdomen does not have brown stripes (see also L. greeni).

The subgenital plate has two lobes at the apex (cf. L. pedicularia and L. greeni).
