Atlantopsocus adustus A moderately large (c.5-6mm) barkfly with mainly colourless wings. Recorded from Ireland and southern England.
Atlantopsocus adustus Atlantopsocus species have an exceptionally shallow pterostigma cell and typically have colourless wings (except for the dark pterostigma cell).
Atlantopsocus adustus Unusually for Atlantopsocus species, specimens from England often have additional dark marks.

The side lobes of the subgenital plate are conspicuously broad (cf. A. personatus).

The hypandrium of Atlantopsocus species have a striking shape when seen in side view. The rows of black teeth on the hypandrium, when seen in end view, are sinuous (cf. A. personatus).
