Amphigerontia bifasciata	<<Back Species account
	A moderately large (c.4.5mm) barkfly. Uncommon in Britain and Ireland.
	Forewing mainly colourless with an indistinct dark spot above the areola postica cell. If the radius vein near the spot is extended it is not continuous with vein c (cf. A. contaminata).
	Female The upper extension of the subgenital plate is short (cf. A. contaminata). Compare with similar species
	Male The lobe at the apex of the hypandrium is almost parallel sided (cf. A. contaminata). Compare with similar species
