Common in Britain and Ireland.

Summary: has been found on a wide range of deciduous trees/bushes (branches and trunks), conifer/evergreen branches and heather.

Associations:

  • Deciduous branches: apple, beech, birch, blackthorn, elder, elm, hawthorn, oak, rowan, sallows and sea buckthorn.
  • Deciduous trunks: beech,  oak and sweet chestnut.
  • Conifer/evergreen branches: broom, cedar, Chinese juniper, cypress family, larch, pines, privet, spruces and yew.
  • Other microhabitats: heather.

Sampling techniques: beating branches, brushing tree trunks and sweep netting.
