Summary: frequently associated with conifers (native and introduced) but occasionally found on deciduous trees.

Associations:

  • Deciduous branches: beech, elder, hawthorn and oak.
  • Deciduous trunks: beech and oak.
  • Conifer/evergreen branches: cherry laurel, Chinese juniper, cypress family, Heber, ivy, noble fir, pine and yew.
  • Other microhabitats: abandoned wasp nest, emerged from bracket fungus.

Sampling techniques: beating branches, brushing tree trunks and hand searching.
