A moderately large (c.4-5mm) barkfly with mainly colourless wings. Only recorded from Irealnd. |

Atlantopsocus species have an exceptionally shallow pterostigma cell and typically have colourless wings (except for the dark pterostigma cell). |

Female
The side lobes of the subgenital plate are narrow (cf. A. adustus). |

Male
Hypandrium (end of abdomen) with the two rows of black teeth more or less in straight lines (cf. A. adustus). |
